Resume
Tecolotl is an artificial intelligence and computer vision laboratory within Norte Tech, focused on developing intelligent monitoring systems using drones, sensors, and machine learning.
The name Tecolotl, derived from the Nahuatl word for owl, reflects the project's inspiration in vision, observation, and intelligence. The owl is also the representative bird of Coahuila, symbolizing awareness, strategy, and the ability to see what others cannot.
Tecolotl develops artificial intelligence solutions focused on automation, safety, and intelligent analytics across three key verticals:
AGAPES: A livestock monitoring system that locates cattle and generates herding patterns using machine learning models, enabling automated and efficient animal movement.
Industrial Security: A computer vision solution that detects real-time risk situations, specifically when an operator is welding without proper eye protection, helping prevent workplace injuries.
Retail: An analytics platform for honor-system stores (such as Smarti) that generates heatmaps, tracks customer flow and dwell time, and provides weekly or monthly reports to understand consumer behavior.
